6th April marked the start of the new tax year, but for DSL, it also marked the beginning of a new era.

Ron Bryant, the entrepreneur behind DSL, moved into the role of Chairman, with Ben Scofield stepping up from Technical Director to become Managing Director.

With DSL continuing to grow and expand, we’re looking forward to exciting times ahead, and the opportunities that the next chapter will bring.

We are pleased to share that last month we achieved a score of 100% for our annual Achilles UVDB audit. This marks our 8th consecutive year of successful verification, strengthening our reputation as a leading service provider to the UK utilities sector.

Our quarterly fundraiser on 11th December was in aid of Save the Children - Christmas Jumper Day, a chance to get into the festive, giving spirit.

In addition to the sale of delicious baked goods, a raffle, Christmas Jumper donations, and games, one of our talented colleagues got busy with her knitting needles and made Christmas tree decorations - mini jumpers, candy cane reindeer and robins!

We were very pleased to be able to raise £355.50 for this worthy charity!

Our quarterly fundraiser on 26th September was in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, an excellent cause close to the hearts of many.

In addition to the sale of delicious baked goods, two raffles, a dress down day, and games, one of our talented colleagues got busy with her knitting needles and made brilliant pencil toppers, including the option for customisation of hair colour and style, and even some with spectacles!

We were very pleased to be able to raise £540 for this worthy charity!

We are pleased to announce that DSL have completed registration and are compliant with the requirements of JOSCAR

Early in August, we celebrated the 25th work anniversary of one of our Directors.

The presentation was made by Ron Bryant, owner and MD of DSL.

Our quarterly fundraising, on 27th June, was for Lighthouse, the Construction Charity.

Our “duvet day” prize draw, cake/bake sale, dress down Friday, raffle and “Name the Engineer” game raised a wonderful £380.

We are very pleased to announce that DSL are now a Company Supporter of Lighthouse, The Construction Charity.

This charity does amazing work, providing 24/7 emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support for construction workers and their families.

Our Q2 fundraising will be in aid of this extremely worthwhile charity.

We are delighted to report that our recent audit for our ISO recertifications has gone very well, with no non-conformities raised.

DSL have been recertified by Alcumus ISOQAR, who are a recognised and respected UKAS accredited certification body, for the following standards:

ISO 9001 - Globally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS)
ISO 14001 - Internationally recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS)]
ISO 45001 - International standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system

Scope of registration - Building Services Engineering; comprising the design, installation, servicing, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.

Our Q1 fundraising event for 2025 raised a fantastic £401 for Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex.

On Friday 28th March we held a fundraiser in the office, which included "Dress Down Friday", a baked goods sale, and some games such as "Name the 'Copter!".

There were also some lovely little handmade "Easter" mice for sale too - a big thank you to Mandie Spencer for bringing these in and for organising the games!

From Mark: "I am swapping my bed for a sleeping bag to raise vital funds and awareness for veterans who are experiencing homelessness in the UK right now.

With every penny raised, Royal British Legion Industries can provide safe, warm housing and ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to gain employment, regardless of health conditions or disability."

Mark raised £455 for this very worthwhile charity. Well done Mark!
